Project Pulse
Project Pulse is the box at the top of the Overview tab. It lists observations worked out from the content of the panel — not from the chat — with a risk level and a button that takes you to wherever something needs a hand. Owners, Leads, Members and Viewers see the box; external members don't, and it's hidden in External preview.
The heading shows “{n} active observations” or “No active observations right now.” If the list is empty, it says “The room looks calm right now.”
What is observed
| Observation | Triggered when | Risk | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Task needs an owner | An open task has no Owner | Low | Assign owner |
| Task is overdue | An open task is past its Due date | Medium | Open task |
| Poll is closing soon | An open poll closes within 24 hours and has no votes | Medium | Review poll |
| Decision needs follow-up | A decision with Requires follow-up task has gone 24 hours without a task | Medium | Create task |
| File changed after approval | An approved file has a newer version than the one that was approved | High | Review latest version |
| Deliverable waiting for approval | A file marked Deliverable has been waiting for approval for more than 24 hours | Medium | Review deliverable |
Titles and summaries are shown in English in the current version.
Each card shows the title, the risk (Low, Medium, High), a summary naming the task, poll, decision or file, the source (Task, Poll, Decision, File) and the confidence (High confidence for all the observations above). The list is sorted by risk, highest first, then oldest first.
Actions
- The action button (for example Assign owner) switches to the right tab and loads its content. You make the change itself in that tab.
- Resolve (Owner, Lead) marks the observation as handled. If the cause is still there, it comes back on the next recompute.
- Dismiss (Owner, Lead) hides the observation. It stays hidden until the cause has gone away and, should it recur, comes back.
Observations are resolved automatically when the cause disappears — when the task gets an owner or is completed, the poll gets votes or is closed, the follow-up task is created, or the file is approved again.
Recompute
The observations are computed every time you open the project rooms overview or the Overview tab in a room. If you've just changed something and want to see the effect straight away, click Recompute; the button reads Recomputing while it works.
If the update fails, it says “Couldn't update Project Pulse.” If loading fails, it says “Couldn't load Project Pulse” with a Try again button.
The Blocked status doesn't produce an observation on its own. If you want to show what's blocking, add it as a task with an owner and a due date.
Use Pulse as a checklist before the status meeting
The high- and medium-risk observations are a better starting point for a status meeting than scrolling through the chat. Resolve what you can in the tabs, then click Recompute.
